Spokesperson for the German government German government, Steffen Seibert said his country insists on opening dialogue channels with Egypt before President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi's visit to Berlin in June, DPA news reported on Friday. "Egypt is an active player. We need to keep our dialogue with them," Seibert said in a press statement on Friday. In the same context, the German government revealed its intention to discuss issues related to human rights in Egypt during Sisi's visit. "We always talk about the internal policies and express and focus on the human rights situation in Egypt," the spokesperson said.
President Sisi will start a two-day visit to Germany on Wednesday where he will meet with German Chancellor Angela Merkel, President Joachim Zhaox and senior officials of the German government.
