Sun 16, 7pm: "Feelings, Football and Society in Contemporary Egypt", a seminar by Karl Rommel.
Rommel, a postdoctoral anthropologist at the University of Helsinki, will present the main findings of his field survey and his book on the politics of emotions in Egyptian football in recent years. He will describe the evolution and decline of the "football bubble" in Egypt during a period of widespread changes.

Thurs 13, 4-5pm: “Stress Management Workshop for Diplomatic Community” is organised by the Maulana Azad Centre for Indian Culture (MACIC), as part of celebrating the International Day of Yoga. Members are welcome to attend the workshop.
Tues 18, 11am-12noon: “Yoga Workshop for Corporates” is another workshop organised by the MACIC on the same occasion. Both workshops will feature a demonstration on Yoga and its benefits for the body and mind, and a practical session which will help the participants realize the benefits of Yoga in their personal as well as corporate life including the stress management, improvement in productivity, decision making skills, multitasking and techniques of maintaining overall positive attitude.
The United Nations has declared 21st June as International Day of Yoga (IDY) through a resolution which was presented by India and co-sponsored by 177 countries including Egypt. IDY has helped people across the world come together, celebrate and experience the happiness of this ancient practice.
