Horoscopes: What's with April?
Published in Al-Ahram Weekly on 29 - 03 - 2007

Horoscopes:
What's with April?
Learn to deal with ambiguity by letting it exist, my dear Scales, as people born under the Cardinal Air sign of Libra (23 Sep-23 Oct) are sometimes called. Group endeavours get you where you need to go a lot more quickly than solo efforts. Find some like-minded individuals to join you in your current endeavours. You might just find that everything magically comes together. The Stars are with your every step in the weeks ahead.
However, do take note. You cannot be in two places at once, my dear Scales. However, the busier you are and the more you mix and match things up, the more fun you will have right now. April promises great surprises for Scales. So, make some multi-faceted plans with some equally multi- faceted people. This promises to be a month to remember, enjoy.
Blink a couple of times before you say you cannot believe it. It is likely that what you thought was in front of you is actually an optical illusion. What a relief. Now you can carry on with your usual business.
Treat yourself to something special. Your emotions will be right over the top, so doing something nice for yourself certainly couldn't hurt. That includes spending time with someone you love, of course. More than anything, my dear Scales, declutter your home. Throw out rubbish you've been hoarding and watch how your life changes for the better.
Though unseasonal Spring clouds cast shadows on Eagles, as people born under the Fixed Water sign of Scorpio (24 Oct-23 Nov) are sometimes called, they have no lingering power to block the sun.
You just might avoid a whole mess of trouble if you take a temporary vow of silence. Someone is in the mood to blow things out of proportion or misinterpret an innocent comment. Do not give them a target. Remember, you are an Eagle, not a sitting duck.
Your intuition may not be shouting but it has definitely got something to say. Find a quiet spot that will let you listen to your currently soft-spoken inner voice. Relax and concentrate, then see how you feel.
Lay the foundation for future success by moving slowly. You have more time available to you than you think. Plan your next move carefully and examine your resources before you jump into anything. Assess your resources -- emotional, mental as well as financial. Let your creative side guide you through this phase of life. You might not be too sure what you're doing consciously, but the deepest part of you is dead certain what it wants.
Romance goes right off the charts in the weeks ahead when you give it your best shot. April is the time of your life. Enjoy. If you are attached, my dear Eagle, then make sure you set time aside for your partner -- no interruptions please. If, on the other hand, you are single, them get out there and mingle up a sand storm this Khamaseen. Good luck.
Your imagination and sense of humour make a very winning combination right now, my dear Archers, as people born under the Mutable Fire sign of Sagittarius (24 Nov-23 Dec) are sometimes called. Matters of the heart are a top priority for you right now. Of course, that is easy to believe when you have got all these loving prospects in front of you. It is time for sweet nothings, roses and romantic dinners.
A new crush, a fresh flirtation, a great date are all distinct possibilities now. The Stars are sending you extra warmth and wonder your way -- use this energy as kindling for something hot. It is more about counting your explorations now than it is about claiming your territory or staking your turf. Stay open to all of love's possibilities, my dear Archers, they certainly open to you.
How will you express affection this April? Indicate your interest, and that is never a difficult task for frank Archers. Issue that invitation, The traditional ways are so tiring, especially compared with the more innovative ways of expressing yourself. You can discover now, in the weeks ahead, Heaven on Earth.
Dialogue is absolutely necessary, however, for your peace of mind. And, especially if people around you are amateur theatrics. Keep your cool. Taking a step back right now might be the perfect solution to a particular pressing problem. Do not let that spoil your fun this April, though.
Look out next week for Imhotep's reading of Capricorn, Aquarius and Pisces
