Egypt's Ismaily splash cash to keep Tunisian striker Fakhreddine Ben Youssef

Egyptian Premier League outfit Ismaily announced on Sunday the signing of Tunisian international striker Fakhreddine Ben Youssef to be the fourth player to join the team during the ongoing summer transfer window.
Ismaily have previously signed left winger Ahmed Mostafa from Belgian side K.A.A. Gent, Algerian defender Radwan Sherifi from USM Alger, and Angolan forward Ary Papel shortly after his transfer to Saudi club Al-Taawon.
"The management has continued its efforts to rebuild the team squad for the new season, Ismaily signed Tunisian striker Fakhreddine Ben Youssef after his superb performance with the Dervishes last season," read a statement by Ismaily on Sunday.
"Fakhreddine managed to secure a regular place in Ismaily's squad and he preferred to stay with the Dervishes despite having domestic and Arabian offers," the statement added.
The 29-year-old, Ben Youssef began his professional career with Tunisia's CS Sfaxien, where he played from 2011 to 2015 before moving to French club FC Metz in a short loan stint, then he returned home to join Tunisian giants Esperance in the same year before joining Ittifaq in 2018, where he scored five goals in 27 appearances.
He joined Ismaily in July 2020 for a short spell that expired by the end of the season, where he made five appearances in all competitions and scored two goals.
Ben Youssef won the Tunisian league title twice; the first with Sfaxien in the 2012-2013 season, and the other with Esperance in the 2016-2017 season.
He also won the African Confederation Cup with Sfaxien in 2013, and Tunisian Cup with Esperance in 2016.
Ismaily finished the previous Egyptian Premier League season in 12th place. The team's management is now splashing cash to push the team back to their usual top four placement
