January 25th Revolution discussion at Egyptian book organisation A seminar to discuss the book January 25th Revolution will take place on Tuesday 13 December at the General Egyptian Book Organisation's headquarters
The General Egyptian Book Organisation (GEBO) will make a seminar to discuss the book January 25th Revolution on Tuesday 13 December at 6pm at the organisation's headquarters on Corniche El-Nile in the Hall of Salah Abdel-Sabour. The book was published by Al-Ahram Centre for Political and Strategic Studies in 2011. Among the first studies to be published after the revolution, this book compiles by far the largest range of readings on this brief period of time. Papers were presented by 28 different researchers, including Diaa Rashwan and Emad Gad from the Centre and Abdel-Ghaffar Shokr, a researcher and founder of the Popular Socialist Alliance Party. The book is divided into six sections. The first section begins by looking at the initial indications of the revolution, including an analysis of the behaviour of state organs during and soon after the revolution. Furthermore, an entire section is dedicated to scrutinising the police and security forces. http://english.ahram.org.eg/News/29079.aspx
