Concerts that will take place at the Cairo Opera House and Alexandria Opera House will feature the musical family of the two young talented Hungarian-Egyptian violinists Amira and Mariam Abouzahra. The two sisters will be accompanied by their parents, Ahmed Abouzahra and Nóra Emödy, also musicians, who will be performing as the Horus Piano Duo. The concert highlights will include Bach's Giga from the Partita in d-minor (violin: Amira Abouzahra), Pizzicato Polka arranged for two violins by Bill Throp (violins Mariam and Amira), M. de Falla's Danse espagnole (violin: Amira Abouzahra), E. Poldini's Poupee valsante (violin: Mariam Abouzahra), Khachaturian's Sabre Dance (violin: Amira Abouzahra), among several other compositions. Despite their very young age, both Amira and Mariam have numerous accolades and international performances in their portfolios. Amira is currently attending the sixth grade of the Heisenberg- High school Weinheim, Germany. Both sisters were chosen among the nine semifinalists at the Hungarian TV show “Virtuozok” in May 2016. They were then asked to give concerts tours in France and Belgium as well as performances with the Hungarian National Orchestra in front of 5000 people at the Budapest Arena.
