Egyptian journalists flocked to the Press Syndicate in Downtown Cairo, to attend the urgent General Assembly meeting on Wednesday, Al-Bawaba News reported. The meeting comes in response to the storming of the syndicate by the security forces on Sunday to arrest two journalists. The meeting will be attended by the council board of the syndicate and editors-in-chief of Egyptian newspapers, where they will take the necessary measures and declare their decision to respond to the security raid against the highest press body in Egypt. Head of the syndicate, Yehia Qalash demanded the resignation of the interior minister upon the attack.
