Egypt's President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi discussed the regional developments and its impact on the security and stability of the Middle East on a phone call with UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon on Thursday, Al-Bawba News reported. Ki-moon praised Egypt's role in achieving security and stability in the Middle East, praising its efforts to combat terrorism and resolve the region's crises, the presidency spokesperson Alaa Youssef said. The call also tackled the regional and international efforts exerted to resolve the Libyan crisis, and form the national unity government, Youssef added. Al-Sisi stressed on Egypt's support for the political solution in Libya under the United Nations auspices, asserting that Egypt will continue its efforts to help in forming the country's unity government, Youssef elaborated.
