Benin striker Razak Omotoyossi has returned to Zamalek three weeks after announcing his departure by unilateral consent. Zamalek announced that the 26-year-old, who said this month that he has rescinded his contract with the club, has been included in the team's Champions League trip to Mazembe. Omotoyossi also featured in a friendly game against Dakhlia on Monday, playing for 30 minutes in the 2-2 draw. The news suggests that Zamalek are about to end the forward's unpaid wage problem, which forced him to request leaving in the first place. Zamalek are in dire need for strikers after Amr Zaki was ruled out of the Mazembe game, amid speculation of a move to Turkey's Gazientepspor. The Whites – led by new manager Ismail Youssef – are looking to recover from a dismal start to their Champions League group stage, having lost their opening two games.
