Published in Daily News Egypt on 19 - 12 - 2021

The leading bank saib has opened its fourth financial education centre "saib cube" at the City Center Mall of Alexandria.
Amr Nosseir, Head of the bank's Retail Banking Group and Distribution Channels, said that financial education centres are a new model presented by the bank as part of its digital transformation strategy. These centres are founded on the basis of self-service for customers who need quick services. They aim to attract young people whose daily lives revolve around modern technology.
He added that these centres serve, guide, and respond to any inquiries customers have using the services available within the "saib cube", in addition to promoting banking services in particular and the concept of financial inclusion in general.
Since the start of the year, four centres have been opened in the Mall of Arabia and Mall of Egypt in Cairo, and the Tanta Mall in Tanta, in addition to the latest one in the City Center Mall in Alexandria.
Nosseir said that the bank is implementing a well-thought-out plan for its traditional branches. The number of branches has increased to 35. Moreover, the bank has a plan to expand in the Delta and Upper Egypt. The administration of the bank chooses the locations of new branches carefully, based on diverse criteria, most notably the geographical location and its proximity to the target segment of customers.
He explained that the number of ATMs has doubled, reaching 96, compared to about 48 machines in 2020. The bank aims to increase this number to enhance its presence in residential and service areas across the country.
Mohamed Ali, Director of the Electronic Services and Innovation Department, explained that "saib cube" is a different concept of banking services that aims to be present in locations with dense population, using an attractive design that ensures an optimal use of space. The services provided include ATMs and interactive screens to display the bank's products, in addition to a "tablet" to facilitate access to the Internet banking service. voice phone service is also available. It allows customers to communicate with a customer service representative.
He explained that these centers serve bank customers seven days a week, from 10 am to 10 pm.
saib cube is one of the tools to spread financial culture among all segments of society. It mainly aims to spread societal awareness of the terms and characteristics of various banking services and products and highlight the differences between them, as well as help customers choose the right product for their needs.
