Liverpool's Egyptian star Mohamed Salah has achieved a historic step in his career by reaching the 100th goal mark in the English Premier League after he scored against Leeds United in the fourth round of the tournament.
The "Egyptian King" scored two goals with Chelsea in 13 league games and 98 goals with Liverpool in 149 league games (total 162 games).
He became the 30th player to hit the century mark and the fifth-fastest player to achieve the feat after Alan Shearer (121 appearances), Harry Kane (141 apps), Sergio Aguero (147 apps), and Thierry Henry (160 apps).
Salah also aspires to another centenary achievement with Liverpool in the strongest league in the world, as he needs only two goals to reach his 100th goal mark with Liverpool in the English Premier League.
Salah is the third highest goal scorer with Liverpool in the Premier League, following Michael Owen, who scored 118 goals with the Reds, and Robbie Fowler, who scored 128 goals.
In another context, Mohamed Salah became the 30th player to score 100 or more goals in the history of the English Premier League, and he became the second African to achieve this achievement after Ivorian star Didier Drogba, who scored 104 goals, bringing Mo close to the top of the list of African scorers in the Premier League. He needs only 5 goals to rule the throne of Africa in the strongest league in the world.
