367 MPs supports Al-Sisi in the coming presidential election
On Monday, NEC announces 2018 presidential elections to be held in March and April

About 367 members of the Egyptian parliament announced on Tuesday supporting president Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi as a candidate within the coming presidential elections which will be held in late March, for a second term.
Parliament Speaker Ali Abdel Aal announced that the internal law of the parliament has received a letter from the National Electoral Commission (NEC) attaching samples for candidate recommendation letters for the coming presidential elections.
The parliament's secretariat-general has formed 13 committee of the 596 members of the parliament for collecting the needed recommendations.
On Monday, the Egyptian National Electoral Commission (NEC) announced that 2018 presidential elections would begin abroad on 16 March, 26 March for Egypt. Elections inside the country will take place along three days, starting from 16 to 18 March, and will continue inside Egypt on 26 to 28 March, and that the result will be announced on 2 April.
In case of a rerun, elections would take place outside Egypt on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, 19, 20 and 21 April, while 24, 25, 26 April 2018 would see elections inside Egypt.
Runoff could take place if no candidate secures more than 50% of the votes.
The commission will receive applications for candidacy between 20 and 29 January and the list will be published in state-run newspapers by the end of January.
