Egypt's chemicals and fertilisers exports during the first ten months (10M) of 2020 registered $4.165bn decreasing by 11 percent compared to $4.673bn last year, according to the Chemical Industries Export Council The council reviewed a report by the General Authority for Export and Import Control which revealed a 4 percent decline in growth of total Egyptian exports during the period from January to October 2020. The report noted that the volume of Egyptian exports of these products reached $21.558bn, a compared to about $22.4bn during the same period of the previous year. The plastic and rubber products ranked as the foremost exported items from Egypt, with exports amounting to $1.478bn, whilst fertilisers came in second place, with exports amounting to $1.147bn. Carton and paper products ranked in third place among Egyptian exports, with exports amounting to $408.65m. Turkey came first in the list of countries that received Egyptian exports of chemical industries, with the volume of these exports reaching about $607.68m. India jumped to second place with total imports from Egypt worth $270m, followed by Italy with $224m.
