Cairo - Spokesperson for the Egyptian Foreign Ministry Ahmed Abu Zeid expressed deep dismay over the two releases issued by Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch (HRW) in the aftermath of the heinous terrorist bombing that took place on Sunday 11/12/2016 at St. Peters Church in Cairo and claimed the lives of many innocent Egyptians worshipers and injured others. The spokesperson pointed out that as the attack triggered a global outpouring of sympathies and solidarity with Egypt in its fight against terrorism, as well as a wide array of statements of condemnations from the United Nations Security Council and many other countries, the two organizations chose to spin the incident to suit a prejudiced and politically motivated narrative of sectarian tensions in Egypt and to portray a state of delinquency on the part of the government in protecting Coptic Egyptians, while insinuating a deficient Egyptian justice system, with no resemblance to the truth.
