Syrian activists reported Thursday that Falcons of the South rebel alliance and Al Qaida-linked Al Nusra Front have taken control over the Nasib border crossing, the only functioning border crossing with Jordan and three nearby military posts, Sky News reported. The activists added that Syrian government forces deployed on the crossing border have withdrawn in the direction of the nearby Sweida province. Meanwhile, the Jordanian Interior Minister Hussein al-Majali announced that they will temporarily close the Nasib border crossing with Syria due to the violence taking place on the other side. "This action came as a precautionary measure to preserve the safety of passengers in the town of Nasib," Al-Majali asserted.
