Russian Foreign Minister, Sergei Lavrov accused Wednesday the U.S. of adopting "aggressive foreign policy", condemning its quest to dominate the world. The statement came in response to U.S. President Barack Obama's annual State of the Union address, in which he strongly criticized Russia, calling Moscow a "bully" for annexing Crimea and supporting separatist rebels in eastern Ukraine, adding that the U.S. is ready to stop the sanctions imposed on Russia, should the latter alter its stance on the Ukrainian crisis. "Obama's address yesterday shows that there's just one thing at the heart of (their) philosophy: 'We are number one' and the rest should acknowledge that", Lavrov said. The White House announced that Washington imposed new sanctions against Russia, including preventing American nationals from dealing with three Russian banks, in order to increase Russia`s debt, In addition to banning the export of technological goods, supporting the Russian extraction projects of oil from deep water and the Arctic.
