Egyptian Premier League side Aswan terminated the contract of coach Alaa Abdel-Aal after the team's poor run. "We thank coach Abdel-Aal for his efforts with the team. We are discussing a replacement," read a statement by Aswan's management. The decision came after the team's 4-1 defeat to Wadi Degla in the 27th matchday of the Egyptian Premier League on Friday. Aswan are suffering in the 15th place in the Egyptian Premier League table with 24 points and they are only two points away from the relegation zone. The former Enppi and Ittihad El-Shorta coach, Abdel-Aal led Aswan to the Egypt Cup semifinals. Under the helm of Abdel-Aal, Aswan achieved victory in only four games, drew in five, and lost in 10.
