Ahly coach Weiler blames lack of cutting edge for Super Cup loss

Ahly manager Rene Weiler said that a lack of cutting edge was to blame for his side's loss to Zamalek in the Egyptian Super Cup that took place in Abu Dhabi on Thursday.
League champions Ahly lost 3-4 on penalties to Cup winners Zamalek after a goalless draw in regular time.
Ahly dominated the game in terms of possession but the Swiss coach believed that his side needed to be more clinical in front of goal.
"We suffered from our lack of cutting edge during the game," Weiler told the post-match news conference.
Asked whether he prefers Monday's Cairo derby between both sides to be postponed, Weiler insisted that he wants the game to go ahead as scheduled.
Zamalek have already asked the Egyptian Football Association to adjourn the game to give both sides the chance to prepare for their Champions League quarter finales clashes later this month.
Zamalek host Esperance de Tunis on Friday, four days after the league derby, while Ahly take on Sundowns of South Africa one day later.
