Sisi congratulates Egypt's 'heroic' U19 handball team on World Championship win
Published in Ahram Online on 18 - 08 - 2019

Egypt's President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi has congratulated the country's U19 handball team who won the World Handball Championship on Sunday, praising their "heroic and manly'' performance.
The president also praised the team's technical staff, describing the team as a role model for determination and will to achieve victory.
Egypt's U19 team have won the World Championship for the first time ever, defeating Germany 32-28 in the final in Macedonia on Sunday.
The young Pharaohs dominated the game from the outset, going to the locker room with a comfortable six-goal advantage (19-13).
Despite their slow start in the second half, Egypt still managed to maintain their upper hand and make history.
The national U21 team won the world title in 1993 when the tournament was staged in Cairo.
