Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry called on Monday for increasing US investments in Egypt in light of the promising investment and trade opportunities now available in the Egyptian market. Shoukry, during a meeting with Myron Brilliant, the executive vice president and head of International Affairs at the US Chamber of Commerce, expressed appreciation for the role played by the chamber to boost trade and economic cooperation between the two countries. The foreign minister said the US official lauded the ambitious economic reforms carried out by Egypt over the past period as well as the under-construction national projects, Foreign Ministry spokesman Ahmed Hafez said. He said Brilliant underlined the importance of continuing efforts to achieve the hoped-for economic development in Egypt.
