The Egyptian film Little Eagles will screen at KMT in Maadi on 26 June, as part of the venue's 'Maadi 7.30: Egyptian Indie Films' series. The screening will be followed by a Q&A with the director Mohamed Rashed and a discussion led by film critic Ramy Abdel Razek. The film follows Mohamed, the son of a simple worker who lives in Alexandria and dreams of moving to Cairo to become a filmmaker. There he meets both Salma and Bassam whose parents belong to the leftist movement in the 1970s. His journey in researching his own father's life begins, comparing his father's work life with the lives of his friends' parents. The film ends with an open door of questions, connecting the past and present that the children of today's generation live in.
Programme: Wednesday, 26 June, at 7.30pm KMT, 73 Street 15, Maadi, Cairo
