5000 demonstrators congregated at the Ka`ed Ibrahim mosque in Alexandria . Sheikh Ahmad Mahlawi gave a sermon to the congregation asking them to unite and not divide and return to their homes and wait for the of the Military Council to fulfill their promises and assist in the Non-Proliferation of chaos in the country, stressing that the demonstrations stop the flow of work and the collapse of the Egyptian economy. Mahlawi said that Mubarak and his children and his men will not escape from the punishment of God. He demanded that the presidential candidates and said that the ' time of first ladies has passed." He said he hoped that members of the national democratic party would not try to enter parliament . He said that the military has a plan and will be carried out and will not retreat, there should be waiting until we see the result. The demonstrators varied in their demands among which were the amendment of election laws and to stop the military trials of civilians, and determine the maximum and the minimum wage, in addition to ensuring the independence of the judiciary, purification of state institutions, and to stop all forms of normalization with Israel and review of the Camp David treaty and the abolition of the QIZ agreement , purging the judiciary and ensuring its independence, the abolition of emergency law and the law criminalizing strikes and sit-ins amongst others .
