Bayern Munich have announced that Jurgen Klinsmann will take over the technical burden from current boss Ottmar Hitzfeld next July. “Former Germany boss Jürgen Klinsmann will succeed Ottmar Hitzfeld as Bayern head coach on 1 July 2008,” the club said on its official website. The former legendary striker has been out of work since leading Germany to the bronze medal in the World Cup 2006. Klinsmann spent a two-year spell at Munich (1995 – 1997) winning a UEFA Cup, Bundesliga and Cup titles with the Bavarian giants. The Bayern bosses hope that he could lead their star-studded squad to win many silverware in style and fashion.
