Inter Milan Chairman Massimo Moratti revealed that he tried to bring AS Roma Captain Francesco Totti to San Siro over the past few years. "Totti has become an exceptional attacking midfielder. To carry him to Inter has been a sweet thought, but (Roma patron Franco) Sensi has said 'no' to me," said the Nerazzuri supremo. Inter are currently back to the top of the Serie A standing with 17 points three ahead of the Romans and Juventus. "Roma is again becoming a very strong team. But we're okay with players like (Zlatan) Ibrahimovic and Julio Cruz whose future is safe with us." The Argentinean striker was reported to be on the move but he showed some of his talent as he hit a brace in Inter's 2-1 victory over Napoli last Saturday. "We are producing some strong performances despite being marred by several injuries." Moratti hopes his side could make a big impact in Europe to confirm their rise.
