Egypt grabbed their first win in the FIVB Men's World Championship on Saturday after coming from two sets down to earn a 3-2 victory over Puerto Rico. Puerto Rico won the first two sets 29-27, 29-25 but Egypt responded by snatching three successive games 25-21, 25-20 and 15-12 in the tie-breaker. The victory put Egypt in fifth place of Pool A with three points, one ahead of leaders Poland, who registered their second successive win after defeating Argentina 3-0. In the same pool, hosts Japan suffered their first defeat at the hands Poland with a 3-0 score.
