Zamalek have confirmed sacking manager Mido, with Jordan coach Hossam Hassan the biggest candidate to take the post. Mido, who has just led Zamalek to the Egypt Cup title recently, was fired on Tuesday following a disappointing Champions League draw with Mazembe. Widespread reports suggest that Hassan is set to return for another stint at the club despite being contracted to the Jordan national team. It is believed that Hassan is ready to accept the post, only a few months before the 2015 Asian Cup of Nations in Australia. Mido, 31, was the youngest ever manager to take the helm at an Egyptian club, having enjoyed his first job following retirement. The former Tottenham striker is the 28th coach to leave Zamalek during the past decade.
