Basel have taken a giant leap towards a fourth consecutive Swiss Super League title with a 1-0 victory over Young Boys. A 55th minute penalty from Fabian Frei gave the title holders a much-needed win, which kept them three points ahead of rivals Grasshoppers with one week to go. Record holders Grasshoppers, who also won 2-1 at St. Gallen, need a miracle to overturn their trailing plus a massive 16-goal deficit with Basel in the final week. Egypt pair Mohamed Salah and Mohamed Al-Nenni were once again used as second-half substitutes on 60 and 77 minutes respectively. Basel are expected to wrap it up when they host St. Gallen on Saturday.
