FOREIGN Minister of New Zealand Murray McCully starts a three-day visit to Egypt on Saturday aimed at bolstering ties between Cairo and Wellington, a senior Foreign Ministry official said on Sunday. During the visit, McCully will hold talks with senior Government officials with the aim of bolstering relations between the two countries, Foreign Minister's Assistant for Asian Affairs Ahmed Fattah Allah said. McCully's talks will also deal with a financial aid, with which New Zealand wants to help Egypt start the second phase of a UNDP-supported project aiming at removing landmines that had been planted in the vast coastal plain between Alexandria and the Libyan border during World War Two, Abdul Fattah said.
