CAIRO - Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov starts an official three-day visit to Egypt Wednesday at the head of a ministerial and business delegation aimed at bolstering bilateral ties, Foreign Ministry officials said. Azarov's talks will also deal with regional and international issues of bilateral concern, as well as strengthening ties between Cairo and Kiev, they added. He Wednesday conferred with Prime Minister Ahmed Nazif. In addition, the talks are expected to focus on the possibility of rebuilding a new satellite for the National Authority for Remote Sensing and Space Sciences (NARSS), which has lost all radio contact with the remote-sounding satellite EGYPTSAT1, which has been in orbit since April 17, 2007. Officials said that the Yuzhnoye Design Bureau in Ukraine failed to restore contact with EGYPTSAT1, therefore, the NARSS would ask the manufacturing company to pay its costs to the Authority, or build a new one instead.
