Egypt have scored their first victory in the Handball World Championship, beating Tunisia 27-23 in Sweden on Monday night. The Pharaohs lost to Germany and holders France in their first two matches in the competition, before putting in an assured performance against Tunisia to end their losing streak. Speaking of the Tunisia match, Egypt's star Ahmed el-Ahmar said: "It wasn't easy for us at the beginning because we hadn't faced them before, but we eventually won". Egypt will meet Spain on Wednesday.
