Portuguese player Cristiano Ronaldo has become the all-time top goal scorer in the UEFA European Championship, scoring 23 goals after his latest in a qualification match against Armenia which led to a win for his team. Portugal is currently second in their qualifying group for the 2016 European Championship, which will be held in France, having gained six points from three matches. Denmark currently ranks first on the group, with seven points from four matches Ronaldo, or as his fans call him, "El Don ," played his 117th international match and scored his 52nd international goal, earning him the rank of top Portuguese goal scorer in history. As a result, Ronaldo also overtook Danish striker Jon Dahl Tomasson as all time top goal scorer in the European Championships.
