Los Angeles (dpa) – The Oscar academy on Tuesday announced nine films on a shortlist that will compete for the best foreign film award. The nominees include the Iranian film A Separation, which won the Golden Globe on Sunday for best foreign film. German director Wim Wenders' acclaimed 3D dance film, Pina, was also selected. The final five nominees will be announced on January 24, with the winner to be named at the Oscar ceremony on February 26. The nominees are as follows: Belgium – Bullhead, directed by Michael R.
