Egypt's poor weather will continue from 17 to 19 January, the Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) said on Saturday. EMA's head, Mohamed Eissa, said that Cairo, Lower Egyptian provinces, Sinai, and northern regions of Upper Egypt will witness rainy clouds, with rainfalls expected to be stronger at the Red Sea and northern areas, accompanied by thunder and violent winds. Meanwhile, EMA's chief analyst, Waheed Saudi, cited unsafe weather conditions and advised citizens planning travel to Sinai and Upper Egypt to postpone their journeys,. Egypt's General Traffic Department, on the other hand, urged drivers to lower their speeds while driving on main roads, and to follow traffic instructions. Translated from the Arabic Edition.
