Cairo - Egyptian parliamentarian Youssri Al-Assiuty expressed resentment over the decision taken by Egypt's Interior Ministry to confiscate the paper edition of "Al-Bawaba" on Sunday because of its report about the escape of former Interior Minister Habib Al-Adly. Al-Assiuty described the decision as a violation against press freedom guaranteed by the Egyptian constitution, saying that the members of Egypt's parliament strongly refuse such measures that smear Egypt's image before the world. He underlined the importance of Egypt's media authorities to discuss the content of the newspapers, saying that the security authority has no right to discuss the content of the newspapers. Al-Assiuty pointed out to the new press law scheduled to be issued during the coming parliamentary round, saying that it will play a major role to contain such problems in the future.
