Cairo - Egyptian around the country performed Eid al-Fitr prayer Todya, celebrating the end of the holy month of Ramadan. The Ministry of Endowment has allocated a total of 5,020 areas for performing the prayer, the first Islamic ritual of the three-day festival. Some of the allocated praying areas were set in vicinity of some churches. After the prayer, the Egyptians greet each other and give the children gifts of sweets and money; they usually eat desserts of Kahk (Eid cookies), and biscuits. Egyptians after performing Eid Al-Fitr prayer, they start their celebrations by greeting each others, give children gifts of sweets and money, and eat desserts of Eid Cookies and biscuitys. On the same line, security forces tightened their presence on highways, public squares and streets in the cities and centers of the provinces in preparation for the Egyptian celebrations on the first day of Eid al-Fitr.
