Cairo - Grand Imam of Egypt's Al-Azhar Ahmed Al-Tayeb revealed on Wednesday that the new anti-hatred draft law has been referred to presidency to be considered. Al-Tayeb added, in his speech during the celebration of Laylat Al-Qadr, that Al-Azhar formed a committee to draft a new law to counter hatred, saying that the Islamic institution referred the draft law to presidency upon the president's request. According to a previous statement from Al-Azhar, the law is expected to limit the forms of hatred and intolerance promoted by some extremist groups, and promote values of coexistence.
