Management of Luxor governorate's temples of Karnak announced Monday that 400 tourists, including Egyptian and foreign tourists of different nationalities, have arrived to Karnak to visit archaeological sites. Director of public relations at Upper Egypt's antiquities, Ahmed Khalifa said in a statement to Al Dostor News that the current number of visits to Karnak temples is considered to be mediocre. Khalifa explained that this is due to several factors, at the forefront the high temperatures during the summer. He pointed out that the number of visits is expected to rise during the coming period to coincide with the arrival of winter season.
