A few days before the death of King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz, President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi visited him at the hospital where he was receiving treatment to not only check the health conditions of the man who stood next to Egypt in a decisive moment, but to express his gratitude to the man that without him the Egyptian position would lost a lot internationally after June 30 revolution. The predators of Egypt are many, headed by the Prime Minister of Turkey at that time, Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim, who were sitting in front of the body of King Abdullah as if they announce to the whole world that the era of King Abdullah is over and a new era will begin, and as long as both of them sitting in this place, there will be different treatment by Saudi Arabia in the Egyptian file. On January 27, Obama visited the new king of Saudi Arabia King Salman bin Abdulaziz to offer condolences on the death of the late King, the U.S. President was heading a delegation that included former ministers and members of Congress who belong to Democratic and Republican parties, as well as including CIA Director, John Brennan. Obama spoke with King Salman on the sidelines of the memorial services about the American administration vision to what is happening in Egypt, referring to 2012 elections that brought Muslim Brotherhood to power in Egypt, pointing to the procedures took after the elections as a kind of exclusion of the political forces in undemocratic way. Obama ignored the revolution of the Egyptian people in June 30 and what happened during a year under the rule of the terrorist group, expressing the U.S. administration dissatisfaction of what happened, in reference to July 3, 2013 declaration that ended the rule of the Muslim Brotherhood and drew a new road map that was accepted by the Egyptian people. Obama said to the new Saudi leadership that whatever the results of democracy, in reference to 2012 elections, it must be respected as it is the major key to solve all the crises, adding "Egyptians had to take the path of the democracy to correct the path of the Muslim Brotherhood or to exclude them, but what happened in Egypt has encouraged many Egyptian people or others to support terrorism". Obama came out with a logical outcome for the US administration, is the necessity of opening an Egyptian-Egyptian dialogue to solve the crisis. Obama's calls were followed by numerous voices within Egypt, which are contacted secretly with the US administration in the recent period to call for the alleged reconciliation, ignoring the bloodshed nationwide by the terrorist operations carried out by this terrorist organization and its allies. Obama clearly asked the Saudi side to help the US in this regard, warning of entering in the equations of supporting one party and confronting the other party, calling for King Salman bin Abdulaziz to support the national dialogue in Egypt, stressing that it is the only way that contributes to addressing political Islam and terrorism. No one commented on what Obama said, making the US side explains this silence, that the Saudis would agree with this view. In my opinion, this was the first attempt to cultivate discord between the new Saudi regime, and the political system in Egypt, as Obama was aware of the support provided by King Abdullah to Egypt, so he wanted to stop the Saudi support to Egypt, unless it takes serious steps in the reconciliation with the Muslim Brotherhood. The US position in regard to Egypt was clear. They wanted to stop the Saudi support for the Egyptian regime, and Saudi Arabia will support Washington's position of creating an internal settlement in Egypt which allows Muslim Brotherhood to return to the Egyptian political scene. This was the core of the bottom line, then, to block any victory of the Egyptian people against the division plans in the region, which the new administration of Saudi Arabia and the Gulf states are aware about it. Some American sources told Qatar and Turkey that there is a change in the Saudi position towards Egypt and that the new Saudi leadership will stop its support for the President Sisi. Unfortunately, many Egyptian and Arab journalists were tricked by such fake information. Saudi media sources denied absolutely these leaked reports, but the problem was that no one from the Saudi government had denied these allegations formally. These leaks worried the political leadership in Egypt, somewhat, and as a result of that and after Obama left the region, Egyptian minister of foreign affairs, Sameh Shoukry and head of General Intelligence Directorate, Khaled Fawzi arrived to Riyadh in a quick visit, to learn about the results of President Obama's visit to Saudi Arabia. The Saudis informed the Egyptians that there is no change in the Saudi position on supporting the Egyptian regime, and that Saudi's position was clear and explicit, which that Saudi Arabia supports and endorses everything that is accepted by the Egyptians, and that Saudi Arabia cannot take part in adopting a position rejected by the Egyptian leadership. The Egyptian delegation returned with the pleasure that Saudi Arabia's position remained the same, which was supporting the Egyptian leadership, but it did not hide its fear of two things: - That the Americans convince the Saudis of the idea of internal dialogue in Egypt. - And that the Americans continue to bet on an essential and vital role for MB in the region. After the return of the Egyptian delegation, the Egyptian diplomacy has been active at all levels, especially in the Gulf (Emirates, Kuwait and Bahrain) to clarify its rejecting position on any reconciliation with the terrorists and killers. The United States responded outrageously, when it received an MB delegation at the United States Department of State, which served as a message to all, that the MB is still a fundamental option for the Americans, and that MB as a part of the Egyptian political scene, is a perpetual option for Washington regardless of Egyptians' rejection, both as a government and people. In the same time, MB was highly active in Turkey, which has become an operations room that manages events that are clearly against Egypt, and one of these expressions of such activity, is those MB satellite stations that broadcast from Turkey. Such stations amounts to four stations that call day and night, clearly and explicitly, to acts of violence and bombings in Egypt, and launches statements and guidance to move the events, in light of US' silence, which without such silence Turkey wouldn't dare to play such a role in hitting stability in Egypt. Egypt's work did not rely only on abroad, but also in Egypt, which is worth documenting, as it coincided with all those moves, the arrival of an unofficial US delegation, in an investigative visit to Egypt to support Obama's vision on the Egyptian-Egyptian dialogue, in reference to a dialogue between the government and MB, to reach a consensual solution. The stated goal of the visit, is the correction of US-Egyptian relations, in an attempt to prevent slipping of relations to an extent that is difficult to repair, the delegation included former national security adviser, Stephen Hadley, former chief of US Central Command, Anthony Zinni, former US Ambassador to Egypt, Ambassador Daniel Kurtzer, head of the Middle East Institute, Ms. Wendy Chamberlain, and adviser for vice president of the Middle East Institute, Paul Salem.
