Spokesperson of the Egyptian Foreign Ministry, Ahmed Abou-Zeid expressed Egypt's anxiety over reports revealing that shipments of Iranian arms were seized before reaching Yemeni territories, Al-Bawaba News reported. Commenting on the incident, Abou-Zeid warned of Iran's resuming attempts of smuggling arms to Yemen while regional efforts were mobilized to reach a truce on land. "Contradicting with UN's resolutions, Iran's arming Yemen's insurgents revived Egypt's anxiety over its regional intentions," Abou-Zeid added, signaling to Iran's continuous attempts of negative intervene and ignition in the Arab region, wasting stances of trust between both sides.
