Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman's upcoming visit to Egypt has been well received by the people and the government there, with the host country describing the king as the "Great Guest of Egypt in Cairo." The Egyptian Cabinet expressed its deep appreciation of this historic visit aimed at entrenching and consolidating relations between the two countries. Sources were quoted as saying to a Saudi publication: "The Council of Ministers in Egypt stressed the importance of the meeting between King Salman and President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, appreciating the role of the Kingdom and the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to support Egypt effectively on the international and Arab levels." The Cabinet members said the visit will bring good results and will promote the common interests of the two states within the framework of the brotherly ties between them. The visit also reflects a continuation of the close historic ties between the people of the two countries. They added that the visit will open up great prospects for cooperation between the two states in various fields, and enhance their joint efforts to face external challenges and fight terrorism. The visit is also expected to involve discussions on the situation in some Arab countries and ways to consolidate Arab ranks. The Egyptian prime minister stressed the depth of the relations and ties between the two countries and the efforts made to strengthen them in all fields, emphasizing that his government is working to resolve the problems faced by all Arab investors, including the Saudi's, as soon as possible. On Monday, two planes landed at Cairo International Airport bringing from Saudi Arabia a delegation from the Saudi Royal Court in preparation for the upcoming visit of the king. Last Wednesday, Cairo received a delegation of the Royal Ceremonies to follow up on the arrangement of the visit. Senior government sources told the local publication that the president's office in Egypt is coordinating with the relevant agencies to celebrate the visit of King Salman on both the public and formal levels. The source said that King Salman is visiting Egypt at the invitation of President El-Sisi extended to Prince Mohammad bin Salman, deputy crown prince and second deputy premier and minister of defense, during his visit to Cairo in July last year.
