President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi met Monday with Japanese MP and head of Japan-Egypt Parliamentary Friendship Association, Yuriko Koike in Cairo to discuss bilateral ties between both countries, Al-Bawaba News reported. During the meeting, Sisi stressed on the importance of the parliaments to boost the bilateral relations, noting the importance of the role that can be played by parliamentary friendship association to strengthen bilateral ties. The president reviewed with Koike the latest developments of the Egyptian political situation after the completion of the legislative and institutional construction through the formation of the House of Representatives. He praised the important role played by Egyptian women through their awareness and ability to take responsibility in defending the country, as well as taking responsibility in Egypt's development process. Sisi also praised during the meeting the historical relations between Egypt and Japan, pointing out that he will visit Tokyo later this month to discuss ways to strengthen bilateral ties and cooperation relation in various fields. The President expressed his aspiration to take advantage of Japan's experience in education and culture fields, stressing that Egypt keen to cooperate with Japan in renewable energy field The meeting was attended by the president's advisor on national security affairs Fayza Abul Naga, Japan's Ambassador to Cairo Takehiro Kagawa and Japanese women delegation.
