Source denied Sunday that the Accountability State Authority (ASA) government law will not be submitted to the Parliament during the upcoming period, Al-Bawaba News reported. The source pointed out that the reason behind this action is the dispute between the authority's head, Hesham Genena and the government after he announced that the corruption in Egypt reached 600 billion pounds during 2015. For his part, Genena said that the new law aims to expand the authority's powers according to 2014 constitution that stipulates that ASA shall be responsible for monitoring the funds of the state and the funds of the state as well as being responsible for monitoring the implementation of the state's budget.
