Egypt's tourism police arrested 3 suspects of breaking the rocks of pyramids and trading them, al-Bawaba news reported. Authorities have received a report accusing three residents of pyramids area of selling the stones of the pyramids to locals and foreigners, causing wide damage to Egypt's oldest, most prominent antiquities. Reports stated that defendants admitted the incident, referring that they sold the stones for EGP 250 ($30). The incident was documented by three journalists, who visited the pyramids area, pretending they want to purchase some rocks of the pyramids for their foreign friends, causing outrage through the internet.
