Alexandria Port Authority announced Saturday that bad weather forced closure of Alexandria and Dekheila Ports inlets, Youm7 News reported. Chairman of the Port's board, Medhat Attiya said that boats and ships have been prevented in or from the port until the weather clears, clarifying that the decision comes to prevent the collision of ships as well as ensuring navigation and maritime safety. He added that the wind speed reached 30 knots and wave height reached three meters, pointing out that these reasons could affect safety of ships.
