The Cairo Criminal court will consider Sunday the retrial of Zakaria Azmy, a major pillar of the ousted Mubarak's regime, over corruption charges, al-Bawaba news reported. The court has overturned the 7-year sentence against Azmy and the EGP36 million and 367 thousand fine, and ordered him a retrial, after including his wife and brother-in-law in the freezing of their assets. Azmy was one of prominent faces during ousted president Hosni Mubarak's era that ended in January, 2011 upon mass protests across the nation.
