Spokesman of Egypt's Armed Forces, Mohamed Samir said Friday on his Facebook page that the army has killed 22 terrorists in the city of Sheikh Zuweid, Al Watan News reported. Samir revealed that the army killed the terrorists while they were in a meeting in Al Lafetat district. He also posted a video of the military operation on Facebook. Security forces have destroyed 33 hideouts, 14 vehicles belonging to terrorists. They also detained three militants who are believed to be involved in targeting the army and police since Wednesday. This came during security crackdown on Wilayat Sinai group members in the cities of Rafah and Arish, as well as Sheikh Zuweid, in order to thwart any terrorist plan to commit attacks during Eid Al-Fitr holidays.
