Egypt's president Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi held Wednesday a national dialogue with leaders of the country's political parties, including opposition, Al-Bawaba News reported. During the meeting, Al-Sisi affirmed the parliamentary elections- as the third step of Egypt's July 3 road-map- will be held by the end of 2015, according to informed sources. The president also showed the attendees a number of national projects the state has implemented at top of which is the new Suez Canal Project which will be inaugurated Aug. 6, the sources added. Al-Sisi stressed his government has taken important steps to combat poverty and corruption and to control prices in the Egyptian market, calling on all parties to further collaborate to fight terror. Asked on the anti-terror war in the Sinai Peninsula, Al-Sisi reassured the attendees the military and police forces have achieved great successes on the ground, adding a battle of development and construction is currently going on in Sinai. During the meeting, some attendees criticized violations of police forces against civilians, which give a bad image of the regime, calling for reconsidering the protest law and releasing political activists jailed for protesting. Some leaders slammed the weak performance of some ministers in the cabinet, calling for adopting a unified strategy to confront Egypt's economic challenges.
