Militants in Egypt's Sinai Peninsula stole on Friday an ambulance and shot an injured conscript dead, Al-Bawaba News cited security sources. The conscript, whose name and age have not been released yet, was reportedly severely wounded during a crackdown on terrorist hotbeds in Sheikh Zuwaid city, the sources said. "The militants stopped the ambulance heading to the Al-Arish Military Hospital and shot a conscript onboard in the head," the sources added. "The ambulance driver has been shot injured". Since the former president Mohamed Morsi was ousted July 2013, a string of deadly attacks claimed hundreds of lives among security personnel and civilians. The IS offshoot Wilayat Sinai has repeatedly claimed responsibility for the attacks.
