Cairo giants Ahly confirmed on Tuesday that they will play Saturday's Egypt Super Cup game against ENPPI, few days after saying they might withdraw due to sponsoring conflicts. "The club's board sent to the Egyptian football Association their official consent to play the Egypt Super Cup," read a statement on Ahly's official website. Ahly also said they would begin their training camp for the match on Wednesday. The club hinted on Monday that they could withdraw from the Super Cup due to sponsoring conflicts. However, reports suggested that they fear a backlash from their hardcore supporters (Ultras Ahlawy), who demanded that their team boycott all domestic football activities until the perpetrators of Port Said's disaster are brought to justice.
