Hat-trick Konan hammers Ittihad Oussou Konan scores three goals for Maqassa as they beat Ittihad of Alexandria 5-2, while Ghazl El-Mahala hold Petrojet
Ivorian striker Oussou Konan scored the first hat-trick of the season to lead Maqassa's thrashing victory over Ittihad of Alexandria 5-2 on Thursday in the fifth matchday of the Egyptian Premier League. The 22-year-old striker powered a magnificent header in the tenth minute to double his team's lead, 2-0, and then dribbled past the last defender before sliding the ball past the keeper to extend his team's lead in the 36th minute, 3-1. He completed his mark in the 59th minute exploiting an awful blunder from keeper El-Hani Soliman who dropped the ball in front of him to score his third and the team's fifth to increase his tally of goals to six in five games. Sameh Aidarous, 8, and Fouad Salama, 49pen, completed the rout while Mahmoud Samir, 17, and Mostafa Selim “Afroto”, 78, scored Ittihad's goals. Ghazl El-Mahala claimed their first points of the season after holding Petrojet to a 2-2 draw. Ghanaian striker Samuel Owusu put the hosts in the lead at the half hour mark and Mostafa Hegab, 70, scored the host's goals but Mohamed Koffi's brace in the 18 and 79 minutes earned Petrojet a point.
